1930 Ariel ‘Fleet’ Gent’s Roadster

1930 Ariel ‘Fleet’ Gent’s Roadster

24″ Frame

28″ Wheels

This Fleet is a very rare survivor. The ‘Fleet’ name was used by Ariel for a range of bicycles that did not feature their expensive components such as the Ariel Biflex forks.

Bournebrook, Birmingham

Ariel created the ‘Fleet’ brand so they could make a cheaper range of bicycles (common practice at the time).

Many thanks to Jerry Mortimore for allowing me to reproduce the Fleet adverts on this page.

Jerry’s excellent website covers the interesting history of Ariel. Here’s a link so you can read about it –
