1960s Monaco Children’s ‘Ordinary’ Bicycle
‘Old England Penny Farthing 1880’
28″ Front Wheel
There was a fashion for children’s ‘ordinary’ bicycles in the 1960s and 1970s. Children had difficulty riding them! But manufacturers hoped they might catch on. They didn’t.
This was the nicest of the various models on offer, as it had solid tyres rather than pneumatics, i.e. more in the Victorian style. This example is very well-preserved, and is ready to ride.
