‘POPULAR ROAD RACER No 2′
25 1/2 inch Frame
26″ Wheels
Free-Wheel Hub
This rare 1920s Road Racer is unrestored cosmetically. Mechanically, it’s ready to ride. There are a few minor jobs that can be done to improve its looks, but I decided to leave them to the new owner so they can personalize it according to their own taste.
If I was going to keep it, I’d fit rat-trap style pedals. (They are easy enough to find on ebay). I’m not sure if the brake lever should be reversed. I have a Raleigh Heron chainwheel on a Raleigh Ladies bike that I’ve partly stripped for spares. The new owner could have it (no extra cost) if they want to swap the chainwheel over.
The handlebars are 17″ North Road.
